Muñiz Leads Peritos to 3-1 Win over Aprendices
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Parquecito de Las Piedras.

In a well-pitched game between the Las Piedras Peritos and the Guayama Aprendices, pitcher Mario Muñiz was superb. The Las Piedras right-hander helped his team win, 3-1. The victory gives the Peritos a record of 38-23.

Muñiz, who leaned on his knuckle curve, allowed 1 run on just 2 hits over 9 innings for the Peritos. For the most part, Guayama hitters were simply overmatched.

"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Muñiz.
