The Luquillo Comecocos overcame a good performance by Gurabo center fielder Yun Chai to knock off Gurabo, 12-11, in 12 innings at Parquecito de Luquillo. Chai was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The 6th-place Comecocos improved to 32-30.

The Comecocos got a clutch hit from center fielder Mick Walker. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Comecocos.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Luquillo manager George Heubel.
