Careyes Prevail, 3-2, in 12 Innings

The Culebra Careyes picked up a win at Parquecito de Culebra, knocking off the Luquillo Comecocos, 3-2, in 12 innings. Starting pitcher Carey Normand played a key role in the conquest. At 27-35, the Careyes find themselves in 9th place in the Liga José Padilla División Rosendo Matienzo Cintrón.
In the bottom of the 12th, José Guima had a chance to play the hero. And he did, socking a run-scoring single off Luquillo pitcher Vo Ong.
"Drama and more drama," said Careyes manager Dáithí King. "That's baseball at its finest."
