Ponce Hidalgos starter Gael Morley pitched a strong game against the Penuelas Idiofonos at Parquecito de Ponce, leading the Hidalgos to victory, 5-4. Ponce is 9th in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Lola Rodríguez de Tió with a record of 32-34.

Ponce went in front, 5-3, on José Campa's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Campa hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Penuelas pitcher Carmelo Contreras visibly perturbed.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Morley told the Ponce Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
