Ciudadanos Defeat Estribaciones, 4-2
Parquecito de San Juan was the site of a competitive game between the Florida Estribaciones and San Juan Ciudadanos.

The San Juan Ciudadanos converted a terrific effort from starter Akira Yamasaki into a win over the Florida Estribaciones at Parquecito de San Juan. The Ciudadanos won the game by a final score of 4-2. Yamasaki, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 6, and allowing 2 runs.

The Estribaciones had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Ciudadanos going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old second baseman Julián Rodríguez came to the plate. Rodríguez hit a run-scoring double on a 2-2 sinker from Florida hurler Euritión López. It was Rodríguez's 2nd double of the year.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Yamasaki. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The win puts the Ciudadanos at 37-31, while the Estribaciones drop to 35-33.
