Fajardo got a valiant performance from pitcher Santiago Rubio, but it wasn't enough to beat the Luquillo Comecocos. Luquillo won the game, 5-4. Rubio threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The win puts the Comecocos at 28-40, while the Camorristas drop to 44-24.

The Comecocos got a clutch hit from right fielder Rafael Pérez. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Comecocos.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Pérez told the Luquillo Daily News.
