Red-Hot Bat: Ponce Collects Cycle
Vicente Ponce accomplished one of the rarer feats in baseball when he hit for the cycle against the Aibonito Limbers in the 7-5 Humacao Aguaceros win at Parquecito de Aibonito.

Afterward, Ponce acknowledged that his accomplishment was special, but said he was more interested in helping the Aguaceros win.

"Maybe one day I'll look back on this with more meaning, but right now I just want to go out tomorrow and put some good swings on the ball and help my club win another game," Ponce said.

On his historic day, he went 4-for-5 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored -- and also got a spot in the history books.

Vicente Ponce hit an RBI triple in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Billy King in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.

On the season, Ponce is batting .283 with 12 home runs and 36 RBIs. He has played in 65 games.
