Aprendices Rally to Nose Past Maunabo
The Maunabo Tranquilos wasted an impressive 10-inning effort from starter Adelino Flores, falling, 2-1, to the Guayama Aprendices at Parquecito de Maunabo. The winning pitcher was 16-year old right-handed pitcher Lyndon Jones. He tossed 123 pitches over 9.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 9 hits. Ernesto Betancourt notched his 6th save in 6 chances.

Guayama used a timely hit from Gilberto Andrade to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Aprendices ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Exhilarating win," said Andrade.
