Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Predilectos beat the Ruidosos.

The Naranjito Predilectos got a stellar effort from pitcher Gérard Vincent, helping Naranjito score a win over the visiting Caguas Ruidosos, 5-1. Vincent, now 5-10, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 0, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.

Naranjito second baseman Gilberto Domínguez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a sinker to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Predilectos ahead, 2-1.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Predilectos manager Crispín López, "I like our chances."

The Predilectos raised their record to 41-29.
