|
Patillas turned a good performance from starting pitcher Gregorio Salazar into a 3-2 triumph over the Coamo Perritos de Pradera in 12 innings at Parquecito de Patillas. Salazar yielded 2 runs over 12 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 18. His record improves to 9-2. Patillas, at 45-25, occupies first place in the Liga José Padilla División Carmen Bozello y Guzmán.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 12th, an error by the Perritos de Pradera allowed the Panaderos to score the winning run.
"It's great when the crowd is energized," Guzmán said.
