Quemados Deal Aguaceros 6-3 Setback
|
San Lorenzo beat Humacao on the strength of starting pitcher Samuel Schindelar's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. Schindelar, now 12-8, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 12, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs. The losses continue to add up for Humacao, having now dropped 12 straight.
Lida Strihavka had a big run-scoring triple for the Quemados in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Lorenzo leading 3-2 and a runner on 3rd, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Judá Padilla and swatted a triple to left. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Quemados ahead, 4-2.
"Use your eyes, make an adjustment, and be better," said losing manager Constantino Garza. "We need some accountability all the way around. Everybody, top to bottom."
