Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Hoplitas
The Manati Hoplitas picked up a win at Parquecito de Guaynabo, knocking off the Guaynabo Cazadores, 4-3. Starting pitcher Eleuterio Ramos played a key role in the triumph. Leónidas Magaña got credit for the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. Manati bumps their record to 35-39 with the win.

Manati needed the clutch hitting of Ramón Herrera to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Hoplitas on top, 4-3. For the game, Herrera had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"I like winning," Ramos told the Manati News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
