The Fajardo Camorristas could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Miguel Díaz into a win. Instead, the Gurabo Escaleras prevailed, 4-3. Díaz threw 9.2 innings of 6-hit ball. The 8th-place Camorristas now sit at 37-37.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 14th for Gurabo. That's when Daniel Peres hit a run-scoring double off 16-year old left-handed pitcher Firmino Charo to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Peres.
