Escondidos Use Late Rally to Win
The Quebradillas Escondidos besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Mayaguez third baseman Aimón Sánchez by beating the Alfereces, 7-5, at Parquecito de Mayagüez. Sánchez was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Miguel Díaz got the win, improving to 2-5. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 15 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 0 and walking 3. Primitivo Flores notched his 2nd save in 4 chances.

Samuel Buchanan produced at a critical juncture for Quebradillas. It happened in the top of the eighth with Casimiro Castro on the mound and Quebradillas leading 5-4. That's when the 16-year old shortstop Buchanan got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.

"Winning never gets dull," said Buchanan.
