The Arroyo Conmutadores got a rain-soaked win over the Las Piedras Peritos.
Arroyo turned a good effort from starter Báquides Orellana into a win over the Las Piedras Peritos at Parquecito de Arroyo. The final score was 5-1. Orellana, now 11-9, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 0, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Jesús Romero was credited with the save for Arroyo, his 5th of the season.
César Delgado was one of the major contributors to the win for Arroyo. The light-hitting third baseman stroked a single to center in the bottom of the first inning. For the day, he went 1-4.
"Whenever I help the team," said Delgado, "I feel like I earned my paycheck."
The Conmutadores now own a record of 38-42.
