Hatillo and Quebradillas got after it at El Palacio Dorado.
Hatillo starter Miguel Jiménez put a stranglehold on the Quebradillas offense. The left-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Tritones to a 3-1 win. Jiménez, now 7-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Soji Watanabe nailed down his 7th save.
Akira Uchiyama, who is tied for 5th in the LMB in triples with 4, aided the Hatillo cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.
"Every loss hurts," said Quebradillas manager Jack Neagle. "But this was a tough one."
Hatillo now sits at 38-45, while Quebradillas falls to 39-46.
