Marín Propels Fajardo to 6-1 Win
|
Fajardo pitcher Antonio Marín had a large part in his team subduing the Luquillo Comecocos, 6-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. With the win, Fajardo goes to 41-42, while the Comecocos fall to 34-51.
Marín's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 9 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 8 hits. Marín, who is tied for 10th in the LJP in quality starts with 13, goes to 10-8 on the year with 117 strikeouts.
"Antonio went out and did what we needed," said Fajardo manager Antonio Noriega.
