The Ponce Hidalgos finished off the Maricao Ristretti, 6-4. Much of the credit belonged to right fielder Marcos Andino. Andino went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Hidalgos. Jorge Lozano, who is tied for 9th in the LMB in wins with 14, was the winner. He's now 14-5. The loser was Elián Buenrostro. With the win, Ponce has a record of 45-42. Maricao falls to 56-31.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Ponce trailing 4-2, Andino jumped on a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Elián Buenrostro and hit a grand slam home run to left. With one swing, the Hidalgos had a walk-off win.

"Put the ball in play and good things will happen," said Andino.
