Guzmán Jacks Two Home Runs in 6-2 Guaynabo Win
|
The Guaynabo Cazadores defeated the Vega Baja Dulzones, 6-2, at Parquecito de Vega Baja. Guaynabo was led by 21-year old right fielder Efraín Guzmán, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Rafael Rocha was the winner. Over 9 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 8 strikeouts. Guaynabo is now 35-54, Vega Baja 48-39.
Guzmán put Guaynabo up, 5-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Arto Kononen in the top of the second. His 14th home run of the season helped the Cazadores capture the win.
"We're producers not directors," said Guzmán. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
