The Aguada Catecumenes picked up a win at Parquecito de Lares, knocking off the Lares Gritantes, 5-3. On the mound for Aguada was right-hander Rafael Gómez. He played a key role in the triumph. Gómez, who is tied for 5th in the LMB in saves with 8, went the distance for Aguada. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. Aguada is now 41-49. Lares is 48-40.

Curcio Rodríguez had a big 2-run double for the Catecumenes in the top of the first inning. With Aguada leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Aarón Pérez and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Catecumenes ahead, 3-0.
