The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
Morovis left fielder Callough O'Carroll was instrumental in helping the Excepciones triumph, 5-4, over the Barranquitas Insignes. O'Carroll was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. Diógenes Méndez picked up the win, lifting his record to 8-13 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 1 in 5.2 innings, while yielding 3 runs.
Helping the Morovis cause was Normando Guerrero. In the bottom of the third, the 19-year old third baseman had a run-scoring ground out to make the score 5-3, Excepciones.
"Winning is the only objective," said O'Carroll after the game.
Morovis now sports a record of 38-50.
