Naguabo and Juncos left the crowd in suspense until the final out.

Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Naguabo Malditos and the Juncos Chiringas. Naguabo won it, 2-1, in 11 innings. Naguabo starter Morris Hawthorne was in command. Kiyohito Mochizuki picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 8-6. Jorge Álvarez, who is tied for 2nd in the LJP in saves with 14, was tagged with the loss.

Naguabo needed the clutch hitting of Bras Parro to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Malditos on top, 2-1. For the game, Parro had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

During his postgame press conference, Malditos manager Nicolás Colón told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"

Naguabo is now 59-29, Juncos 54-34.
