Comesopas Capture Extra-Inning Win
The Ceiba Comesopas snuck past the Luquillo Comecocos, 4-3, in 11 innings. Ceiba pitcher Jesús Arche, in particular, had a standout performance. Arche, now 4-0, was the winner. In 11 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 10, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs. The Comesopas go to 55-37, putting them third in the Liga José Padilla División Rosendo Matienzo Cintrón.

The Comesopas procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Ernesto Garafaio. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"That was a backyard tug-of-war," said Comesopas manager Ranulfo Hernández.
