The Mayaguez Alfereces went home winners at Parquecito de Camuy, thanks in large part to starter Slevin Baker. Baker stifled the Camuy Ermitanos, enabling Mayaguez to grab the 3-0 win. Jorge Fernández nailed down the save. The Alfereces now own a record of 33-61.

Mark Bell went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI for Mayaguez. In a tie game with one out in the top of the sixth, Bell came through with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Alfereces in front, 1-0.

Bell said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
