A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Comerio Aranitos and Naranjito Predilectos.

Starting pitcher Carlos Salazar gave the Comerio Aranitos a rock-solid effort. The Villa Constitución, Argentina native helped his team defeat the Naranjito Predilectos, 3-2, at Parquecito de Naranjito. Salazar, the winner, moves to 6-7. He threw 9 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks.

Comerio needed the clutch hitting of Alberto Medina to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Aranitos on top, 3-2. For the game, Medina had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Medina, "but we really needed that win."

Comerio's record now stands at 45-49, placing them 8th in the Liga José Padilla División Eugenio Ortiz.
