Soggy conditions did not keep Cayey and Yabucoa from playing their scheduled game.
Cayey Brumosos starter Víctor Molina hurled his team past the Yabucoa Pastelillos, 6-2. With the victory, the Brumosos record stands at 42-52.
There were several reasons the Brumosos beat the Pastelillos, but one factor was Asdrúbal Rodríguez. In the bottom of the fifth, the Cayey designated hitter came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.
Rodríguez called the win "a team effort."
