Carolina Offense Goes Belly-Up Versus Aguilar, Malditos
|
In a tension-filled contest between the Naguabo Malditos and the Carolina Belicosos, pitcher Ángel Aguilar was superb. The Naguabo left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the LJP in wins with 21, spearheaded his team's 2-0 win. The first-place Malditos improved to 69-25.
The famously hardworking Aguilar handled the Belicosos all day, notching 7 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Aguilar, who is tied for 2nd in the LJP in strikeouts with 275, goes to 21-4 on the year with 275 strikeouts.
"Ángel was able to execute his pitches," said Naguabo manager Nicolás Colón. "Simple as that."
