The Salinas Olimpicos picked up a win at Parquecito de Salinas, topping the Arroyo Conmutadores, 3-2. On the mound for Salinas was left-hander Miguel Amaya. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Amaya, now 8-10. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 9 and fanning 11. With the win, the Olimpicos have a record of 39-57.
Left Fielder Calímaco Reyes made an impact for Salinas, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Alberto Benítez in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Reyes was 1-4 with a double.
After the game, Salinas manager Bernal Valencia applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
