The rain did not keep Vieques and Gurabo from finishing their game.

Vieques pitcher Jean Ollivier had a large part in his team beating the Gurabo Escaleras, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Zumbadorcitos sit in 9th place in the Liga José Padilla División Rosendo Matienzo Cintrón with a record of 45-51.

Vieques used the hitting of Marcial López to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Zumbadorcitos on top, 3-1. For the game, López had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said López.
