The Caracas Sultanes and Maturin Petroleros had fans on the edges of their seats.

The Caracas Sultanes racked up a win at Campo Capitolino, bumping off the Maturin Petroleros, 6-5, in 10 innings. Jorge Battistella, who started for Caracas, pitched effectively for his team. The last-place Sultanes have won 4 in a row.

Maxime Hernández, who finished 4th in the LE in stolen bases with 42 in 1907, won it for Caracas in the bottom of the sixth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Rodulfo Moquete. In the game, Hernández went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk.

"There's no quit in this team," said Sultanes manager Alex McKinnon.
