The Cumana Atunes picked up a win at Campo Capitolino, topping the Caracas Sultanes, 4-3. On the mound for Cumana was right-hander Enrico Miegge. He played a principal role in the triumph. Tomás Ruiz closed out the game, earning his 11th save. Cumana now sports a record of 25-12.

Arturo Garza provided a timely hit. The Cumana shortstop delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Atunes on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Miegge said.
