The Maracay Jardineros picked up a win at Barquisimeto Stadium, topping the Barquisimeto Crepusculares, 3-2. On the mound for Maracay was right-hander Patroclo Zaragoza. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner was Nemesio Adán in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Esteban Delgado took the loss. The Jardineros now own a record of 28-25.

Maracay used a timely hit from Noé Martínez to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Jardineros ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Good to pick up this win," Martínez said.
