The Barinas Viajeros got a strong performance from pitcher Matthew Bunge. The Yiddish Curver stymied the Maracaibo offense en route to a solid, 4-2 win at Estadio de Maracaibo. Bunge, who is tied for 3rd in the LO in innings pitched with 116.2, went the distance for Barinas. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. The Viajeros now have a record of 29-27 with the win over Maracaibo.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Javier Flores? The 29-year old catcher Flores stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Barinas up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
