Miegge Superb Against Guatire
Before the game, Enrico Miegge said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Parque de Cumana, the Atunes pitcher blanked the Guatire Heroes, 13-0.

"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Miegge said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my cutter even when I was behind in the count."

The Cumana starter held Guatire scoreless, giving up 3 hits while registering 4 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Heroes manager Heliodoro Ortiz said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."

This year, Miegge has made 13 starts, thrown 96 innings, fanned 29 batters and walked 22. His won-lost record is 4-8 with a 4.69 ERA.
