Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Barquisimeto Crepusculares take on the Maracay Jardineros.

The Barquisimeto Crepusculares racked up a win at Barquisimeto Stadium, bumping off the Maracay Jardineros, 4-3. Evaristo Adauto, who started for Barquisimeto, pitched effectively for his team. The last-place Crepusculares are now 34-41, the Jardineros 39-38.

Barquisimeto took a 4-3 lead on José Angot's 10th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Angot hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Maracay pitcher Jonás Corona visibly frustrated.

"It never gets old," said Adauto. "Winning, that is."
