Cisneros Propels Maracaibo to 1-0 Win
|
Wet weather did not postpone the Maracaibo-Merida ballgame.
Maracaibo registered a win at Caballeros Ballpark by beating the Merida Caballeros, 1-0. Pitcher Efraín Cisneros was one reason why the Independientes triumphed. The Independientes go to 40-41, putting them 4th in the Liga Oeste.
Cisneros allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings for Maracaibo. With the win, the southpaw is 6-7 with an ERA of 4.33.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Antoine Fontaine.
