The Coro Bizantinos defeated the Barinas Viajeros, 11-7, in Liga Oeste action at Campo de Barinas. Tomás Molina pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Coro pitcher Hércules Serafín earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Pero Sogliano suffered the loss. The Bizantinos improved their record to 44-41 with the win over Barinas.

Martín García hit a run-scoring triple off Pero Sogliano in the top of the first, which put the Bizantinos in front, 1-0. García had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 4.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Coro manager Pablo Moreno. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
