Verona Beats Magdeburg, 4-1
|
Verona Neoterici starter Alba Florido led his team to victory over the Magdeburg Halbkugeln, 4-1. The right-hander was locked-in. Florido, who leads the WLK in innings pitched with 149.1, went the distance for Verona. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. The 'W' lifts Verona's record to 43-22.
Verona took a 3-1 lead on Gustave Esini's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Esini hit in the top of the seventh, left Magdeburg pitcher Webber Zimmer visibly frustrated.
"I try to not think too much," said Esini.
