The Bolzano Dolomiti got a superb performance from pitcher Cesar Arfè, but the Magdeburg Halbkugeln still won the game, 4-2. Arfè threw 9.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The winner was Magdeburg reliever Manfried Diffenderffer, now 4-2. The loser was Pasqualino Catenacci. The 5th-place Halbkugeln go to 37-38.
