Verona and Magdeburg put this game in the books despite some rain.

Verona pitcher Alba Florido had a large part in his team beating the Magdeburg Halbkugeln, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The loss makes Magdeburg 46-33.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Verona. That's when William Fachinetti, who is tied for 7th in the WLK in home runs with 8, hit a 2-run home run off Manfried Diffenderffer to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"I thought Alba threw the ball well across the board," said Verona manager Eduardo Rivera.
