Praha parlayed a decent outing from starter Durko Cervinka into a solid win over the Rijeka Torpeda. The final score was 4-3. Praha pitcher Ota Vacek got the win. He's now 4-6. Rade Grlic was tagged with the loss. The 6th-place Chasomjeritchi improved to 41-53.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Praha first baseman Yuri Prochazka, facing Rade Grlic, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Chasomjeritchi the 4-3 win.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Praha skipper Phil Baker. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
