A sweep is in sight.

The Erie Commodores overcame a spirited performance by Oswego catcher Esteban García to knock off the Hydropathists, 10-9, at Erie Naval Yards in Game 2 of the Interleague Series. García was 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once but could not will the Hydropathists to victory. Erie now sits on a 2-0 advantage and has its eyes on sweeping the best-of-5 series.

Alistair Ross drove in one run against the Hydropathists. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run that put Erie in front, 10-9.

"It's on me," said Hydropathists manager Harry Smith. "The guys I sent out there today were the wrong ones for the situation. I'll be sure to send the right ones out next time."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Erie Naval Yards in Erie.
