Vergaser-Stadion played host to some high drama.

Stuttgart turned a fine outing from starter Hubert Rohde into a victory over the Bolzano Dolomiti at Vergaser-Stadion. The final score was 3-1 in 10 innings. Nimet Kemalettin, who is tied for 4th in the WLK in saves with 5, was the winner in relief. His record is now 23-11. The losing pitcher was Pasqualino Catenacci.

The decisive blow was delivered by Godfrey Cooper in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Pasqualino Catenacci to win the game for Stuttgart. The home crowd went nuts.

"Exhilarating win," said Cooper.

Stuttgart has rattled off 5 straight wins.
