Barinas took on Valencia in front of a lively crowd.

Barinas picked up a win at Campo de Valencia, bumping off the Valencia Industriales, 4-3. Pitcher Matthew Bunge was a major reason the Viajeros emerged victorious. The win elevated the Viajeros to 46-46.

Barinas used a timely hit from five-time All-Star Abdías González to get the win. The left fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Viajeros on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was huge.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Valencia manager José Pacheco. "But we decided not to take it."
