Cunaguaros Beat Cumana, 11-10
The Cumana Atunes and Nueva Esparta Cunaguaros provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Nueva Esparta Cunaguaros used the hitting of center fielder Rafferty Sexton to subdue the Cumana Atunes, 11-10, in 12 innings. For the game, Sexton was 4 for 7 with a triple and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Nueva Esparta reliever Polideuco Velázquez picked up the win, upping his record to 10-12. Enrico Miegge absorbed the loss.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Sexton hit a fastball from Enrico Miegge for a run-scoring single. The Cunaguaros, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"When there are games to be won," said Nueva Esparta manager Nicolás Vásquez, "you win them."

With the win, Nueva Esparta goes to 43-53, while the Atunes fall to 53-41.
