The Guatire Heroes torpedoed the Puerto La Cruz Timoneles at Estadio de Guatire. The final score was 6-2, Guatire. Bolívar Carapito went 3-for-4 for the winning team. Ferdinando Osuna, who is on pace to win 21 games this season, was the winner. He's now 15-6. The loser was Disibodo Bermúdez. Marco Maldonado finished to wrap up his 14th save.
In the bottom of the first inning, third baseman Juan Fernández had a run-scoring triple for Guatire. It was his 21st triple of the season and put the Heroes on top, 1-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Carapito told the Guatire News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
The first-place Timoneles now sit at 62-35.
