Campo Capitolino was the site of a competitive game between the Caracas Sultanes and Angostura Amargados.

Behind an impressive start by Medardo Crosby, Angostura beat Caracas, 3-2. Crosby picked up the win for Angostura, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 14-14. Eugenio Prieto got the save, the 19th for him this season.

Berihun Mulogo provided a timely hit. The Angostura third baseman delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Amargados on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Crosby. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."

The Amargados are now 59-51.
