Win Goes to Sakura in Tight Contest
The Takasaki Sakura powered past the Kamakura Kodaibito, 8-6, in 10 innings at Kodaibito Park. Yoshiyau Fuse was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times, to lead the charge. Takasaki reliever Tsunemori Sugimoto picked up the win, upping his record to 10-13. Brownie Foreman took the loss. Takasaki is now 41-46, Kamakura 39-48.

Martin Buckfield provided a timely hit. The Takasaki catcher delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Sakura on top, 8-6. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Alejandro Rodríguez.
