Kagoshima Rallies for 6-2 Victory
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Kagoshima Teitoku and Fukuyama Komori.
Shinji Takeda was a major contributor to the 6-2 Kagoshima win over Fukuyama. The Teitoku catcher was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Kikugoro Sasaki, who is tied for 2nd in the SL in holds with 1, earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 6-1.
Isao Tagawa provided a timely hit. The Kagoshima center fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Teitoku on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Tagawa.
The 4th-place Komori dropped to 54-50.
