Matsuyama and Seki put this game in the books despite some rain.

In a low-scoring contest between the Matsuyama Kawauso and the Seki Katanakaji, Tsugunosuke Torigoe, who is tied for 4th in the SL in quality starts with 16, proved to be the difference. The Matsuyama right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Kawauso win. Shigeru Fujiwara claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen.
